Baltic Trust (BATT26)

Baltic Trust 2026 (BATT26)
03 – 14 August 2026 | Riga, Latvia

Event Description:
Currently, NATO has advanced UAS and C-UAS technologies, but live, integrated tactical training is limited. Existing programs provide operational knowledge but rarely combine real-time UAS/C-UAS use with field exercises and command coordination.

This project addresses these gaps by training operators, testing system interoperability, and validating suppression tactics under realistic military conditions. Personnel gain hands-on experience, improve decision-making under stress, and learn to execute coordinated suppression missions. The initiative enhances NATO’s airspace security, rapid-response readiness, interoperability, and standardizes training and tactics across allied forces.

This event is a part of ACT’s Layered Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems Initiative (LCI-X) aims to enhance NATO’s defence capabilities by enabling experimental introduction of emerging Counter-UAS (C-UAS) technologies. LCI-X is designed to be complementary to Allies’ efforts to identify and iterate on detect and defend solutions against massed UAS incursions, bridging the gap between ongoing experimentation and long-cycle programmes, thereby informing long-term modernization of NATO’s integrated defence architecture.
